He informed the membership that an Ad Hoc Committee was formed to study a new approach to classes. A pilot program will be considered this spring. He praised Barbara Stiff for conducting supervised play of hand games after classes. This was well received by students. Students can buy textbooks if they wish. Dick stated that the VCC has joined the Chamber of Commerce and we appear on the website in three areas. Dick thanked the teachers and Board members for their cooperation.
Treasurer: Allan Walker stated that the VCC is $10,700 ahead for the year with a Net Equity of $36,000. Without the 50 cent increase in playing fees, the club would have lost $6,000 for this time period. Table count is up 6% for the year. He informed the membership that the Club is in a very strong financial position. Directors and other employees will receive a raise in 2006.
Game Manager: Andy Cosby reported a table increase of 518 for the year thus far. Largest game held was 43.5 tables. We held 3 STAC games - benefits from last game will go to rebuild bridge for Katrina victims, including supplies, etc. Games planned for the coming year include 2 STAC tournaments, a Two-Session game in April and in the Fall, 4 bracketed KOs - 1 red point and 3 black points (sectional rating for both), and a Valentine's Game.

Players who reach certain levels of masterpoints are recognized each month. She recommended giving free plays for Christmas gifts as they are much appreciated.
