VILLAGE CARD CLUB CALLED MEETING
                                        MAY 2, 2005

President Kathy Harris called the meeting to order at 4:10 P.M.

Meeting was called to discuss procedure for members voting on the ‘Club Tournament’ which is played on Thursdays.  Andy presented a Club Tournament Survey Sheet (2nd Revision).  At this time he moved that this revised survey be used to poll members, seconded by Teri.  Discussion followed. After a lengthy discussion, the following amendments were approved.

1. Dick moved that we amend the revised survey, taking out Items 2 & 3 under “I would like to see”.  This motion was seconded by Bill and passed with 9 ayes and 1 nay.

2. Peggy moved that Item 4 under “I would like to see” be changed to read “Discontinue this offering – return to open and restricted games”.  Motion was seconded by Marcy and unanimously approved by the Board.

3. Teri moved that Paragraph 3 in Club Tournament Survey (2nd Revision) be changed to read “If continued, the Club Tournament will be a Thursday-only offering.  (All other games will continue to be ‘shuffle and deal’)”, deleting remainder of paragraph.  Motion seconded by Andy and unanimously approved by the Board. Club Tournament Survey will be re-typed and passed out to members on May 5 and May 12.  Kathy asked Dick Condon to be in charge of ballots on May 5 as she will be out of town.

There being no further business, a motion was made and seconded to adjourn.

The next regular meeting will be May 13 immediately following the game.
