Job Description


WEBMASTER

The Village Card Club Webmaster is responsible for maintaining the Village Card Club web site and should be knowledgeable in the use of FTP, UNIX, CSS, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, and PHP.

The site will be hosted on a Virtual Private Server with a mirror backup. The site will be backed up daily by the hosting service to hard drive, and weekly to tape. In addition, the webmaster will maintain a complete working backup of website. The working backup will also be archived on a daily basis.

The website contains the results of the last weeks games; the minutes of all open Board of Directors meetings; the latest copies of the Constitution, ByLaws, and Standing Rules; information concerning the Laws of Duplicate and the Appeals process; masterpoint achievements; plus links to the ACBL and other sites of interest.

Post the following as received from the Board of Directors: Minutes of the Board meetings; Changes to Constitution, Bylaws, and standing rules; and Resolutions.

Post game/special event advertisements/announcements received from the Game Manager.

Post all levels of masterpoint achievement.

Keep the VCC Life Master list up-to-date.

Maintain the Schedule of Games.

Maintain the Game upload form.

Maintain the Partnership form.

Post the players of the month as received from the Club Manager.

Maintain the Coming Events schedule as received from the Club Manager.

Post tournament flyers for the Hot Springs Sectional, DeGray Sectional, and the Resort City Regional as provided by the tournament chairpersons. Insure that links to these flyers are posted on the ACBL and District 10 websites.

Post announcements of training courses to include online reservations for the Fall, and Spring VCC classes.
