Job Description


CONDUCT & ETHICS CHAIR

1. Follow ACBL guidelines for Club Ethics process.

2. Insure “due Process” for all members.

3. Champion fairness in all discussion and judgments.

4. Maintain absolute confidentiality within the C&E committee.

5. Liaison directly with the VCC Board President on any issue impacting the club.

6. Maintain independence from the VCC Board, including avoiding sharing any more confidential detail than absolutely necessary.

7. Lead the C&E team to reach consensus on all issues before them and insure that 1 voice is spoken from the C&E team. That voice is the one that is communicated to the VCC board as needed, and to offenders as needed.

8. Exhibit strong leadership and highest personal integrity at all times.

9. Respond to all complaints sent to the C&E team, maintaining confidentiality on actions taken.

10. Insure that the Conduct and Ethics Information notification form is available for the directors to provide to any player needing it. Educate the membership in reporting procedures. Make available to the membership procedures to be followed.

11. Educate the Game Directors in proper procedures for the C&E Information Notification Form. Ensure that each Game Director has the most recent copy(ies) of club policy.
